Historical Debian overlay imported on 2026-09-07 ============================================== Target: https://gt.uo1.net/mikhail/g15macro Base commit: beab6f13cf0d248209cbf2578073859232ec07dd (configure.ac: 1.0.5). Source: Debian g15macro 1.0.3-3 source package, using the previously extracted debian-patched tree from g15macro_1.0.3.orig.tar.gz and g15macro_1.0.3-3.diff.gz. Archive location: https://archive.debian.org/debian/pool/main/g/g15macro/ SHA-256 values recomputed locally and matched against the accompanying g15macro_1.0.3-3.dsc Checksums-Sha256 entries: g15macro_1.0.3.orig.tar.gz be4a5ba422777b330d09169fe505eae433aad7378c2eaf411ea591723b82ace2 g15macro_1.0.3-3.diff.gz 62af7645012e1be404bd790a8c5a07f8050665c1de1e412b2c46d507a9cae665 This checks archive integrity against the local descriptor, not authenticity: the descriptor's OpenPGP signature has not been verified for this import. The historical debian/ files and g15macro.1 preserve their content, including copyright, attribution, changelog, and legacy metadata. Debian packaging is unchanged apart from trailing blank-line differences introduced on import. credited to Giacomo A. Catenazzi; see debian/copyright and upstream COPYING. The manpage was introduced by the Debian 1.0.3-1 packaging. The Debian linker change is reconciled rather than applied wholesale: the fork already links -lpthread. Add -Wl,--no-add-needed to both Makefile.am and Makefile.in, keeping their LIBS consistent (the historical Debian patch added that flag only to Makefile.am). Do not restore old -avoid-version or replace the fork's generated build files with the 1.0.3 versions. This is NOT a new Debian release. The changelog deliberately still identifies 1.0.3-3, whereas the fork identifies itself as 1.0.5. A maintainer must choose and document an appropriate package version before publishing packages. No Debian 13 build or hardware/runtime validation is claimed. Modernization remains separate work: debhelper compatibility 5, CDBS, historical dependencies/policy/watch URLs, obsolete --enable-ttf and --disable-rpath configure arguments, and chrpath behavior need review. The fork's generated Makefile.in also still references configure.in rather than configure.ac; regenerate/validate Autotools as part of build work. No macro-engine changes or outer packaging integration are included.
